Overview:

I give golf lessons and golf lesson packages in Los Angeles, CA.  Please read below if you are having problems with your golf swing, and your golf game itself. After years of unstable play of my "homemade" golf swing I was sick and tired of the quick fixes, and band aiding of my swing. I decided to re-boot my swing and after 4 years of reinventing my swing from a natural, flashy, timing swing that I could play well with every now and then; I have now a swing that is mre reliable under pressure, and can withstand time longer. I took my stroke average from 75.3 in 2004 to 71.8 in 2009. My career low was 66 in 2002 and rarely shot in the sixties. I have recorded 60 rounds in 2009 and have two rounds of 63 and multiple rounds in the high 60's and out of 60 rounds 45 were at par or better. I know what hard work this takes and now understand the need for a reliable motion. Not to say this is for everyone. Please bear in mind that talent and natural ability is a need as well.

A sound golf swing is one that is repetitive and reliable:

According to "The Search for the Perfect Swing" (an incredibly insightful view into what the swing consists of) the golf swing lasts an average of 1 - 1.1 seconds. The downswing itself is .2 seconds. In this short amount of time the club head goes from 0mph to roughly 80mph (that equates to 0 - 400 mph in 1 second) and you have to create nearly 2,000 pounds of force at impact (1 ton) to impart sufficient amount of horsepower (2) to create a "powerful" motion. When we are trying to create this motion we need to be reliable as well. Reliability is cleverly disguised as "pressure" and as soon as the pressure mounts, your habits or imperfections come into form. If you would like a reliable motion while under pressure please read on. To create a repetitive motion, we need some form of talent. You can get by with dedication, but the amount of talent in my opinion restricts or allows your goals to be high or realistic. You MUST practice and practice correctly. When I ask my students to practice I give drills that keep them away from the range and in the comfort of their house. There is a point to this and I will discuss why when we meet.  My approach is a bit unconventional, but as I have stated I have had access to incredible research equipment and have studied thousands of golf swings in slow motion with motion measurements. I have researched into the mind and the battle between the conscious and subconscious. I am confident in my abilities and have done my research to back up any of my teachings. I go against the grain for good reasons and I do NOT band aid swings but help rebuild swings. I do this only if you are as serious as I. If you need a quick fix, go to someone else please.

What I Do:

During our first encounter I will diagnose your swing and fundamental flaws. We will conduct a flexibility test, strength test, balance test, and probably will only hit a few balls at most.  I will ask questions regarding what your history is but most important will be "What is your goal for the future of golf". After you and I are on the same page in getting your goals aligned (both short term and long term) we can come up with a game plan TOGETHER based on your budget and realistic goals you set for yourself. Not everyone wants to (or can) play tour golf.
